The Rare Bird will be serving up our famous all day buffet on Mother's Day, starting with brunch at 10:00 am and continuing on until 8:00 pm.  The special Mother's Day Buffet will feature a carving station, made to order omelets, a selection of fresh salads, freshly baked breads, hot entrees, homemade desserts & much more.

Calling all sharks!  Pool sharks that is.  The Rare Bird is sporting a new pool table upstairs in the Upper Deck.  So chalk ‘er up and show us your favourite pool tricks.  If you’re interested in starting a pool league at the Rare Bird, send us an email or give us a call.

Local impresario Adam Cook is back for another season of Atlantic Canada’s rarest trivia. Weekly prizes and a grand prize of a party for 20 on the harbour patio.

Oktoberfest … In August!
In Guysborough, we’re always ahead of the times.  And besides, it’s not the month that counts, but the ingredients.  Nova Scotia’s largest Oktoberfest, in August that is, the Rare Bird is going to be serving up authentic Bavarian style entertainment, food platters and housemade pretzels.  Prost!
